Full Licence

Before taking any practical test, a theory test for that category of vehicle must be passed!

A theory test is not necessary for a CBT nor is it necessary to have passed a theory test before training commences

A2 (RESTRICTED LICENCE)

For people aged 17 and over

For people either aged 17-20 or those not wishing to ride a big bike immediately, the A2 course provides a route to the motorcycle licence. Upon successful completion the student will be entitled to discard L plates, be allowed to carry pillion passengers, but will be restricted to a motorcycle of up to 25kW (33bhp) or a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.16 kW/kg for 2 years. Afterwards they may ride any sized machine they wish.

3 / 4 / OR 5 DAY (9am – 4pm)

3 DAY A2 (recommended for riders with a current CBT certificate)

Day 1 – Bike familiarisation and Module 1 test training.

Day 2 – Module 1 test followed by road riding and Module 2 test preparation.

Day 3 – Module 2 Test Day.

4 DAY A2 (recommended for rider with some previous experience and/or a current CBT)

Day 1 – CBT

Day 2 – Bike familiarisation and Module 1 test training.

Day 3 – Module 1 test followed by road riding and Module 2 test preparation.

Day 4 – Module 2 Test Day.

5 Day A2 (recommended for riders with little to no experience)

Day 1 – CBT

Day 2 – Road riding and control skills.

Day 3 – Module 1 test training and road ride with traffic conditions.

Day 4 – Module 1 test followed by road riding and Module 2 test preparation.

Day 5 – Module 2 Test Day

DAS (DIRECT ACCESS)

For people aged 21 and over
3 / 4 / OR 5 DAY (9am – 4pm)

3 DAY DAS

Day 1 – Larger bike familiarisation and Module 1 test training.

Day 2 – Module 1 test followed by road ride and Module 2 preparation.

Day 3 – Test Day.

4 DAY DAS

Day 1 – C.B.T.

Day 2 – Larger bike familiarisation and module 1 test training.

Day 3 – Module 1 test followed by road ride and Module 2 preparation.

Day 4 – Module 2 Test Day.

5 Day DAS

Day 1 – CBT.

Day 2 – Bike familiarisation and control skills. Introduction to the larger bike and road riding.

Day 3 – Module 1 test training and road riding.

Day 4 – Module 1 test followed by road riding and Module 2 test preparation.

Day 5 – Module 2 test day.
