Courses | A2

Restricted Licence

The Facts:

For people either aged 17-20 or those not wishing to ride a big bike immediately, the A2 course provides a route to the motorcycle licence. Upon successful completion the student will be entitled to discard L plates, be allowed to carry pillion passengers, but will be restricted to a motorcycle of up to 25kW (33bhp) or a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.16 kW/kg for 2 years. Afterwards they may ride any sized machine they wish.

You can start your training without a theory test certificate.  However you must have passed your theory test at least one CLEAR working day before the date of your test (Saturdays ARE included as a working day but Bank Holidays are NOT)  Click here to book your theory test online (external link)

A CBT certificate is required for all full licence courses and can be incorporated as an extra day at the start of training if needed.

The Structure:
Choose either our 3 or 4 day course:

Day 2 – Module 1 test followed by road ride and Module 2 preparation.

Day 3 – Module 2 test day.

4 DAY

Day 3 - Module 1 test followed by road ride and Module 2 preparation.

I’ve changed my mind … I’d like to do the DAS course instead
